Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are calling it quits after four years of marriage.

In a joint statement shared on Momoa’s Instagram Wednesday (Jan. 12), the pair announced they are “parting ways in marriage”

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” the statement read. “And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage.”

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty,” it continued. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…”

The statement concluded, “Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail✨ J & L.”

Momoa, 42, and Bonet, 54, started dating in 2005 after being introduced by mutual friends at a jazz club and officially tied the knot in October 2017.

While appearing on “The Late Late Show” in 2017, the Aquaman star revealed how he had an eye on Bonet since he was eight saying, “Ever since I was like, 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, ‘Mommy, I want that one,'” Momoa told James Corden. “I’m like, ‘I’m going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I’m going to get you.'”

And he indeed did.

The couple had their first child, Lola, in July 2007 and welcomed their second child, Nakoa-Wolf, in December 2008. Bonet also shares a daughter, Zoë Kravitz, 33, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
